Terms of Service
Effective 18 April 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website at retake-rewards.com and the rewards service operated under the trading name Retake Rewards (“we”, “us”, the “Service”). By signing in with Steam, earning points, or redeeming rewards, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service is operated by Retake Rewards, a sole-trader business based in Scotland, United Kingdom. You can reach us at support@retake-rewards.com.
1. Who can use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding contract in your country of residence to use the Service. You must also have a Steam account in good standing that is eligible to trade Counter-Strike 2 items (Steam’s own rules apply here, including mobile authenticator requirements and 7-day trade holds).
You may hold only one account. Creating additional accounts to multiply rewards, bypass limits, or evade suspension is a material breach of these Terms.
2. Steam authentication and your data
We authenticate you via Steam’s OpenID. We receive your public Steam ID, display name, avatar, and the Steam trade URL you voluntarily provide on your settings page. We never receive your Steam password, payment details, or access to your Steam inventory. Handling of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Points
Points are an in-service loyalty credit that track your engagement. Points:
- have no cash value and are not money, electronic money, a currency, a financial instrument, a security, or any form of cryptocurrency;
- cannot be purchased, exchanged for cash, or transferred between accounts;
- are the property of Retake Rewards and are licensed, not sold, to you for use inside the Service;
- may be corrected, reduced, or revoked at any time if awarded in error, as a result of fraud or abuse, or if the underlying ad network reverses or refuses payment; and
- may expire if your account is inactive for an extended period (we will publish any expiry policy at least 30 days before it takes effect).
You earn points by completing qualifying actions we make available from time to time, including watching or completing offers from third-party advertising networks, daily sign-ins, or skill-based promotions. The points awarded for any given action are determined by us in our sole discretion and may change without notice.
4. Ads and third-party offers
Rewards are funded by advertising revenue. When you use an offerwall or watch a rewarded video, you are interacting with a third-party advertising network (for example, AdGem) operating inside our site. Your use of those offers is also subject to the relevant network’s terms and privacy policies.
You must not:
- use ad-blockers, VPNs, proxies, emulators, or any other tool to misrepresent your device, location, or engagement with offers;
- use automated scripts, bots, or click-fraud tooling of any kind;
- attempt to tamper with postback requests, HMAC signatures, or any other server-to-server verification mechanism;
- provide false information to advertisers when completing offers that require it (e.g., survey answers, email sign-ups); or
- do anything that causes an advertising network to claw back, chargeback, or refuse payment to us.
5. Skin redemptions
You may spend points to claim Counter-Strike 2 items (“skins”) from the catalogue we make available, subject to availability. Skin prices are set in points and are shown in-product before you confirm a redemption. Once you confirm, points are debited and the redemption is irrevocable.
Delivery is fulfilled through a third-party marketplace partner using your Steam trade URL. You are responsible for keeping your trade URL current and your Steam account in a state where it can receive trades. We are not responsible for:
- delays, failures, or holds caused by Steam (including 7-day trade-hold cooldowns, Steam Guard mobile authenticator requirements, or inventory limits);
- items declined or cancelled by the marketplace partner for reasons outside our control; or
- fluctuations in skin pricing between the time you earned points and the time you redeem.
If a redemption cannot be delivered after reasonable retries we will credit the points back to your account. We may refuse a redemption where we have a reasonable suspicion of fraud or abuse.
6. Promotions and giveaways
We may occasionally run promotions, giveaways, or leaderboard competitions. Any such promotion will have its own published rules that are treated as additional terms between you and us for that promotion. Where a promotion involves a prize draw, at least one free entry route will always be available so that no purchase or point expenditure is necessary to enter.
7. No gambling
The Service is not a gambling product. Points are a loyalty credit, not a wager, and skins are redeemed at fixed point prices. We do not offer chance-based outcomes in exchange for points unless explicitly covered by a published promotion meeting the free-entry requirement above.
8. Prohibited conduct
In addition to the restrictions above, you agree not to:
- attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach any security or authentication measures;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of any part of the Service, except to the extent permitted by applicable law;
- use the Service in any way that violates applicable law, including Steam Subscriber Agreement obligations or Valve’s CS2 policies;
- harass, threaten, or impersonate any other user or any of our staff or partners; or
- resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit access to the Service.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account and void any unspent points and pending redemptions if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, engaged in fraud or abuse, or caused us loss. Where possible we will notify you by email; where the breach is serious (for example, fraud) we may act without prior notice.
You may close your account at any time by emailing us at support@retake-rewards.com. Closing your account forfeits any unspent points.
10. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may update the Service, the point economy, the skin catalogue, or these Terms from time to time. Where we make material changes, we will post a notice on the site and update the “Effective” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that points balances or skin availability will be preserved without interruption.
Retake Rewards is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation, Steam, or Counter-Strike 2. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
12. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
Subject to the paragraph above, our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Service (whether in contract, tort including negligence, statute, or otherwise) is limited to the greater of (a) £50 and (b) the sterling-equivalent advertising revenue we have received on your account in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages; loss of profits; loss of data; or loss of goodwill.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland, United Kingdom, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree that the courts of Scotland, United Kingdom have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute, save that if you are a consumer resident in the EU, UK, or other jurisdiction that grants you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts, nothing in these Terms removes that right.
